"We return ... and our consistent practice becomes a dedication to self-care that can brush away the tarnish of perceived imperfections."
--Heather Kampf
About Me

Heather Kampf’s compassionate teaching style inspires her students to believe in themselves. She loves the combination of vinyasa flow blended with focused alignment that creates a moving meditation honoring the lineages of the Iyengar and Ashtanga systems. A devoted mother of two, Heather understands deeply that a yoga practice, including meditation and pranayama, will offer a steady source of strength that is beneficial on and off the mat. She offers these tools to empower her students, as she provides the space for them to move deeper into their own inner wisdom. Heather’s vision of cultivating inner connection as well as community infuses her teaching with an optimism that uplifts her students. She encourages students to daringly dance between exploring boundaries and appreciating the joy of the present moment.
Exploration of physical expression has been a life-long passion that started with dance and gymnastics as a child, and further developed while performing as an actor/singer/dancer on stage in high school, college, and early adulthood. Ultimately, Heather found the most satisfying outlet to be her yoga practice -- always there quietly on the sideline until it became a lifeline, carrying her through two difficult childbirth experiences and then back home to finding herself afterwards. The practice that began as a creative and fun way to keep strong and healthy became a deep focus after Heather’s second child was born. The dedicated personal time and attention to the body that her practice provided healed her physically and mentally.
Heather has been fortunate to study with excellent teachers, including Joan Hyman, Clio Manuelian, Matt Phippen, Jessica Jennings, and Jodi Blumstein. She is grateful to all her teachers for inspiring her to find her own style that embraces both flow and form. Heather is a Yoga Alliance RYT-500, RPYT, and a certified Ma Yoga® Instructor.
Practice With Me
"I love teaching yoga to everyone, but I am most rewarded by introducing the practice to beginners and by working with people who think that they "can't do yoga.” I love seeing that light come on when they understand that the look and feel of their practice is uniquely their own."
Heather’s open-hearted approach to the practice enhances the accessible and mindful experience she creates for her students, leaving them enjoying the elevated state that the practice of yoga provides.
Heather teaches at Center For Yoga, MaYoga, and privately by appointment. Her weekly class schedule is regularly updated below. For private lessons or to reach out to Heather directly, please connect below.
